The Piano Awards 2025

We are thrilled to announce that The Piano Awards is back!

This competition celebrates the talent and dedication of our students, awarding top performers in solo piano categories across three age groups:

• Ages 5-8
• Ages 9-12
• Ages 13+

Each age group will have one winner, judged on solo performances only—without backing tracks or duets.

Performance Details

• Performance Length: Minimum of 1 minute
• Format: Solo performance only (no backing track or duet with teacher)
• Genres Accepted: Classical, film, and jazz music
• Introduction Requirement: Students must introduce themselves and the song title at the beginning

First Round—Video Submission Process

• Video Submission: Teachers are responsible for submitting video performances.
• Recording Requirements: All videos must be recorded in one continuous take, without any edits.
• Recording Locations: Videos can be recorded by teachers, Soundskool staff, or by students at home.

Our Music Program Coordinators will review all video submissions to select finalists for the second round, which will be the live performance.

The finalists will be announced on the first week of May 2025!

Final Round—Live Performances

Selected finalists will perform live in front of a jury and an audience of parents and students at our BKK campus on 18th May 2025.

Prizes and Recognition

• For Winners: Cups and vouchers will be awarded to the top performer in each age category.
• For Finalists: All finalists will receive a certificate of participation, recognizing their hard work and talent.

The Piano Awards are a fantastic chance for students to gain experience, confidence, and recognition.
