Soundskool Superstars Competition (Phnom Penh) 2024

We're excited to announce the return of the Soundskool Superstars Competition for the new school year! This event celebrates and rewards our students' outstanding performance skills, providing a platform for them to showcase their musical talent across all instruments and genres.

Performance Details

• All Instruments: From guitars to drums, all instruments (except piano solo) are invited to compete.
• Any Genre: Whether it's classical, pop, or jazz, students can perform in any genre they love.
• Performance Length: Each performance should be a minimum of 1 minute.
• Solo or With Backing Track: Performances can be solo or with a backing track, allowing students to showcase their unique style.
• Introductions: Students will introduce themselves and their chosen song at the beginning of their performance.

1st Round: Video Submission Online

Age Categories

Divided into three age categories ensuring fair competition for all:

• 5-8 years old
• 9-12 years old
• 13+ years old

Submission Process

Eligible students can be entered directly by their teachers. Teachers will submit videos through the provided form, showcasing students' continuous performances with no editing permitted.

Recording Options

Videos can be recorded by teachers, staff, or students themselves at home.

Videos submission are accepted from the announcement day until 29th of February 2024.

All the videos will be assessed by our Music Program Coordinators, and the selected candidates for the final round will be announced on the 2nd of March 2024.

Final Round: Live Performance

Live Performance

Selected candidates from the 1st round (finalists) will perform live in front of judges and parents at an open event on the 17th of March 2024 held at our school in Phnom Penh.

Prizes

Three winners will be selected, one from each age category, receiving award plaques and vouchers prizes. Additionally, finalists will receive certificates of participation to commemorate their achievements.

Important Dates

• Video submission deadline: 29th February 2024
• Finalists announcement for the final round: 2nd of March 2024
• Final round and the award ceremony: 17 March 2024
