Soundskool Superstars 2024
We’re excited to invite students of all ages to join the Soundskool Superstars competition! This event highlights student performance skills across instruments, with a winner in each age category:
- Ages 5-8
- Ages 9-12
- Ages 13+
Performance Details
- Eligible Instruments: All instruments (except solo piano)
- Performance Format: Solo, with the option of a backing track (no duets with teachers)
- Genres Accepted: Any genre
- Performance Length: Minimum of 1 minute
- Introduction: Students must introduce themselves and the song title at the start
Note: Solo piano performers are encouraged to join the Piano Awards instead.
Submission Process – First Round
- Video Submission: Teachers are responsible for submitting video performances.
- Recording Requirements: Videos must be recorded in one continuous take, with no edits allowed.
- Recording Locations: Videos can be recorded by teachers, Soundskool staff, or by students at home.
All video submissions will be reviewed by school management, with the list of finalists announced on the 2nd of December!
Final Round – Live Performances
Selected finalists will perform live in front of a jury and an audience of parents on Soundskool Day at HardRock Cafe in December. Check the events calendar for the final round date.
Prizes and Recognition
- For Winners: Cups and vouchers awarded to the top performer in each age category.
- For Finalists: Certificates of participation for all finalists.
The Soundskool Superstars competition is a great opportunity for students to shine and gain stage experience. We can’t wait to see the talent and passion of our young musicians—best of luck to all participants!
