Ready to make music on the spot—together?

Join us for a fun, creative, and pressure-free workshop designed to get students listening, responding, and building music as a team. No sheet music, no expectations—just pure sound exploration. 

Led by Simon Gilbert, Music Programs Coordinator and violin teacher at Soundskool Siem Reap, this session introduces students to the joy of group improvisation. You’ll experiment with musical games, explore timing, and take turns shaping sound in real time. 


Workshop Highlights:

🎵 Call & Response – Listen and respond with sound
🎵 Improvised Conductor – Guide the group’s musical direction
🎵 Music Machine – Build textures and layers together
🎵 Final Performance – Parents are invited to attend a short improvised showcase at the end

About Simon:

Simon Gilbert is known for his playful and inclusive teaching style. A performer on electric violin, saxophone, and loop station, he believes improvisation is a musical playground—where every student can explore sound freely, no matter their background or skill level.
