Gramophone Exhibition ft. John O’Connor

We’re excited to bring a rare musical experience to our Soundskool community during the intermission of our upcoming mini-concert.

Join us at the Gramophone Exhibition presented by John O’Connor, a passionate music collector with a love for vintage records.

John will be at Soundskool with one of his fully functional mechanical gramophones—an opportunity to step back in time and experience the beauty of analog sound. 

During the exhibition, John will explain how the gramophone works and spin some of the discs from his personal collection for students, parents, and teachers to enjoy. 

This special interlude offers a unique blend of history, music, and curiosity—a perfect fit for our musical community. 

About the Presenter

John O’Connor is a longtime music collector with a particular fondness for early recording technology. Before moving to Cambodia, he worked as an “unplugged” DJ in England, using multiple gramophones to charm his audiences. John will be bringing that same magic to Soundskool.
