Free Rhythm Workshop: An Introduction to Soundskool’s Percussion Group
At Soundskool, learning music is not only about melody; it is also about rhythm, coordination, and the shared energy of playing together.
To introduce this side of music-making, we are hosting a free rhythm workshop, designed as an open and hands-on introduction to the Soundskool Percussion Group.
This workshop is for anyone who has ever been curious about percussion but never quite knew where to start. Rather than explaining percussion through theory or definitions, participants will experience it directly, through movement, rhythm, and group playing.
What the workshop is about
The Free Rhythm Workshop offers a relaxed environment where participants can try what happens in a real Percussion Group class. Through simple rhythm activities, students will explore coordination, listening, and how individual parts come together when playing as a group.
No previous percussion experience is required. The workshop is open to all instruments and all ages, making it a welcoming space for first-time explorers as well as curious musicians.
Why percussion?
Percussion helps develop timing, focus, and musical awareness in a very physical and engaging way. Playing rhythm together builds confidence, strengthens listening skills, and encourages collaboration, skills that support learning across all instruments and musical levels.
